I've been rather busy lately. Two weeks ago on May 28 I took part in commencement ceremonies in which I earned my first Master's Degree. My mom and pops were in town for the event and stayed for a bit. Did A LOT of the tourist stuff with them. Everything from LA Angels baseball games to the Aquarium of the Pacific. I took them beach bumming to Newport Beach, Long Beach, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Balboa Island... and so many more. Went out to Temecula and did a day of winery touring (which does include a lot of wine tasting). Of course they wanted to do the Hollywood thing so we did the "strips" (Sunset, Hollywood, Santa Monica Blvds) and hit all the tourist traps like Mann's Chinese Theater and all that. We also did the Hollywood sign hike. It was a nice day when we hiked up for the sign. I even took the rents out to J. Depps' Viper Room to see my friends band play. Dad loved it. Mom loved the sun, the pools, and the beaches.
So back to a life less ordinary in sunny SoCal. I have some time off from the books so I think I'll travel a bit this summer. Maybe even move. I thinks things are changing. Can't wait to see what's next.
Rumor has it Boston is lovely this time of the year...
