Well I have finally risen from pilot season ashes. Yeah, I logged many hours and got to take part in another great year of pilot fervor, but I am glad it's over. I am going to re-join the world of the aloof, and start doing things for myself all over again. The first step is going to concerts and shows I want to (of course I slipped and went to KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas). First things first, next
Wednesday I will be going to a Dashboard Confessional show, actually a solo acoustic performance by Chris Carrabba at the House of Blues Sunset Strip. The show is a benefit show for tsunami relief, please check out the details here (a HOB info page). As it stands I have 6 tickets which is pretty lucky considering the Dashboard Confessional website says the tickets go on sale March 2nd!
Anyway, I can't wait to see this show and have a little more time to visit some of the cool venues here in Los Angeles. I have always enjoyed HOB Sunset Strip but don't get there enough. The last show I saw there was Eek-A-Mouse which was probably in March or April of 2004, so almost a year. A solo Chris Carrabba will be so much better.
Let me know if anyone wants tix.
